Centerscape acquires part-ownership unit in SAPPHIRE Berlin

Berlin. Centerscape has acquired the 13th asset in the region. The purchase property, a ground-floor shareholding unit at SAPPHIRE on the Chausseestraße, is leased long-term to the retailer EDEKA. Seller is a builders’ joint venture between the two developers, econcept and Minerva. Intermediate was Winters & Hirsch.

The property is located in Chausseestr. 43 / Corner Schwartzkopffstr. 1 in Berlin-Mitte directly opposite the new Headquarters of the Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND). The SAPPHIRE, which was completed in February 2017, is of particular architectural importance for Berlin and the district of Mitte. It is the first residential building created by the New York star architect Daniel Libeskind in Germany. The new building has 73 properties, including penthouse apartments, as well as the retail space on the ground floor provided by Winters & Hirsch with approx. 1,100 sqm of rental space. There are also 32 parking spaces in the underground car park.
